Energy Auditor Accreditation

One of the main features of an effective energy management program is the commissioning of energy audits.

As part of the EMANZ's role in promoting the highest standards of skills in this area of energy management, they operate an accreditation program for energy auditors.

Energy Auditors who qualify for accreditation will be able to call themselves "Accredited Energy Auditors" and will be recognized as competent to carry out energy audits in accordance with AS/NZS3598:2000 Energy audits. They will also be qualified to perform audits that are subsidised by the EECA Audit Grant Scheme

Accredited Energy Auditors are listed as such in the EMANZ Members list . Click here to download a list of EMANZ Accredited Energy Auditors.

The Auditor accreditation procedure provides an independent unbiased assessment of the work of an auditor who applies for accreditation. Such an assessment, by the auditor's peers, shows they have achieved the level of consistent excellence that the energy management industry needs to flourish.

Accreditation is granted after an assessment of an energy audit report or reports submitted by the applicant. Assessment is made using an assessment form that has been developed by EMANZ.

To apply for accreditation, an applicant must fill out the Accreditation application form available on this website. The applicant is strongly advised to read the “Notes to applicants” in the Auditor accreditation procedure . Applicants that do not follow these notes are unlikely to be successful.
