About EMANZ
Profile
Energy Management is one of the most exciting growth areas
of the New Zealand economy in the beginning of the 21st century and is
critical to our future economic prosperity and environmental well being.
Energy Management is the focus of the Government's National
Energy and Efficiency Strategy released at the end of September 2001.
The Energy Management Association of New Zealand (Inc)
is a Collaborating Technical Society with the Institution
of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ). EMANZ membership
is open to all people and organisations in the energy management
industry whatever their backgrounds, as well as catering for professional
engineers.
A Management Committee for the Association is elected annually
and is dedicated to making the association the voice of New Zealand's
rapidly growing energy management industry.
The Energy Management Association of New Zealand will
work towards ensuring that a continuing high standard of expertise
in energy management and energy efficiency related services is available
to industry, commerce and the public of New Zealand.
In recognition of the importance of Energy Audits
to the field of Energy Management an additional membership class,
Accredited Energy Auditor,
has been created. The procedure for becoming recognised by the Energy
Management Association of New Zealand as an Accredited Energy Auditor
can be found on this site under Energy
Auditor Accreditation.
The Management Committee of the Association welcomes any
feedback, ideas and proposed activities for the Association.
