Monthly Technical Presentations

The EMANZ Monthly Technical Presentations are for the benefit of members and others concerned about achieiving the wise use of energy. Presentations aim to share knowledge and understanding on a range of technical energy issues.

Attendance by Members is free. Non Members attending at a video venue will be required to pay a fee of $20 (incl. gst).

The presentations are via video conference between the EECA offices in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. A teleconfeence link is also available of attendees outside these centres (information on the contact teleconference number will be made available in the promotion for the event).

If you would like to give a presentation at the EMANZ Monthly Technical Presentations please contact the Executive Officer.

Presentations start at 4.00pm and typically last 30 minutes with some time for questions at the end. Presentations are made available after the event on the EMANZ web-site in the Member's Only Area.

A sign-in sheet will be circulated on arrival at each event centre so for administrative purposes please ensure you acknowledge your attendance.

EMANZ LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT REGIONAL FORUMS

EMANZ is pleased to announce that the Auckland forum has now been run and was a great success - thank you to all those who were involved.

Presentations and feedback notes from this forum are available on the Local Government Energy Focus Group section in the EMANZ Members only area. EMANZ Members can login in here.

If you are a non-member and attended the forum please contact the Executive Officer for a copy of the notes and presentations

We are currently looking at running similar events in other parts of the country and would welcome input to that process.

EMANZ Training

EMANZ is currently reviewing its training strategy for the next three years and would like to hear from you. We expect to complete the strategy in August this year and from there we will be rolling out courses accordingly.

Energy Audit Grant Scheme

The following Audit scheme is currently structured as follows:

  • Funding for up to 50% of the cost of an energy audit to a maximum of $50,000
  • Up to 100% of the cost of a scoping study to a maximum $10,000
  • Requirement to identify the potential for demand response and co-generation opportunities.
  • Minimum energy spend of $100,000 per annum to be eligible for grant funding
  • Design audits available for organisations with a building area over 1000m2

Grants are available for any business wishing to improve their energy consumption with energy audits, adopting renewable energy initiatives and/or utilizing advances in technology.
